Civilian Segments

In civilian market segments where a premium is placed upon reliable operation at sub-meter to centimeter accuracy, NavTrack™ receivers have a particular advantage. Aviation, survey, vehicular guidance, and high performance handhelds, are excellent opportunities for the use of NavTrack™ technology.

The civilian aircraft landing segment combines the demands of accuracy and reliability. NavTrack™ supports both Real Time Kinematic (RTK) and carrier-smoothed pseudorange modes, with improved performance in maneuver-induced blockages and interference. Additionally, NavTrack is unique in providing protection against spoofing in critical precision landing. Aided versions are available for high-end corporate jet and air carrier applications.

As the construction industry moves to further integrate its GPS based site planning, stakeout, and earthmoving functions, the demands for improved reliability under adverse reception conditions will increase. This is also true for RTK surveying, in which position data is gathered from aboard a moving land vehicle or aircraft. Conventional systems are particularly impacted by multipath contamination, combined with direct path attenuation or blockage.  In field and RF simulator tests, NavTrack™ enhanced receivers have proven more robust.
